Artists have the ability to influence the world we live in like no others. Too often we see music, dance, fine arts and film speak to this generation with a message of hopelessness, drugs, violence and immorality. We as YWAM Christian artists, training in the University of the Nations can herald in an era where the arts covey a message of truth, beauty, challenge and a new direction of hope for a better future. Christian artists who apply a biblical worldview to the whole arts and entertainment industry with excellence and integrity can influence the influences with Godly values.

The College of The Arts is developing new schools which focus not just on the excellence of the skills but on excellence of character, so we can make an impact in the communities we live in and those we travel to. We are training event managers to build a platform for the artists to perform on, so they can reach their audiences with the message the Lord has given them.

We held the first YWAM Global Arts Gathering in Hollywood in July 2003 and saw artists from 40 nations come together to learn, be trained, pray and perform on the streets of Hollywood. Regional Arts Gatherings are now developing globally to invite Christian artists to train, network and develop a biblical worldview so we can send them into the nations to be light and salt.

We are looking for a generation of artists, techs and managers who are prepared to take the time to develop their skills in their chosen area and who will then go and influence the nations with a biblical worldview. We are looking for the balladeers who will sing and dancers who will dance upon injustice, proclaiming the year of the Lord for all nations to hear. There is a place at the table for all those who see the Arts as a way to reach this generation.
