SCI 261
Foundations in Information Technology

A first course for the development of Information Technology (IT) skills, with specific applications in missions. Students will learn the basics of computer hardware and operating systems, as well as common computer programs. They will also be introduced to computer architecture, building a computer network, setting up servers, troubleshooting IT related issues and using video conferencing technologies. Principles of learning how to prayerfully seek creative solutions to the many issues associated with IT on the mission field will also be integrated throughout the course.
